Description
Train Trestle - Orrs Mills Rd in Cornwall and Blooming Grove New York - just outside of Salisbury Mills - is a favorite view for the locals and leaf peepers alike.
Moodna Viaduct - The Train Trestle coming through Schunemunk Mountains.
Vertical landscape scene. The scenic Hudson Valley of New York.
The Moodna Viaduct Railroad Trestle in Autumn - Sunny blue skies and the bright colorful foliage in a variety of reds and oranges dips between the hills and the valleys. The sun is setting lower in the sky for the day creating a glow across the valley.
A familiar and beloved sight of home - one that I have many fond memories of in my comings and goings growing up in Blooming Grove NY.
This view is off Jackson Ave between Rt. 94 and Orrs Mills Rd.
I grew up at the base of this mountain . We played in all the secluded streams and waterfalls - rode our horse up to the top of the mountain. The Lenape Indians used to reside in this area , and there are burial grounds on the mountain that we respectfully avoided. Their spirits were never to far away though - you had to appreciate the lives they once lived before " civilization " crept in.
Our school bus drove through that pass there on Clove Rd. Woodcock mountain is the mountain on the right.
A family friend caught this glorious scene that inspired this painting. Thank you to Joe Brill.
Peaceful healing Nature. I hope it provides you with a sense of comfort and joy.
