Description
The Eith - E. A weathered rusted old relic of a boat abandoned off the side of Highway 37.The Port Sonoma Marina in Petaluma California. A fishing trawler lies in a field of wild flowers of spring.

In her glory days she was mainly used as a Salmon Fishing boat, eventually feeling the wear and tear and the tug of time. In her later years she provided enjoyment in the form of river cruises up and down the Petaluma River.
Seemingly shipwrecked and swept ashore, the Edith - E has been weathered and worn by the winds of time. She rests in a field of bright colorful Poppies off the side of the road for those to enjoy seeing her as they drive by.
Clouds are billowing off the beach, rays of sunshine joyfully burst though and illuminate the blue skies above as she lies with wildflowers blooming all around her.
Glory Days ; we weather the storms of life... and in our seasoned and wiser days - it is not always what is left behind for you to remember - there will be more glorious days up ahead to celebrate.
Rusted and rustic, paint peeling , abandoned and all weathered and worn - and I would say she is resting contentedly in retirement.
