The bright sky blue background adds an exotic Oriental or Asian mystique to the glorious capture of the first Spring blooms.
Magnolia Trees are also commonly referred to as a " Tulip Tree".
They come in a variety of colors; Yellow, Pink, Red and Purple.
The scent of the fragrant blossoms wafting through the air are one of the pure delights of Springtime. A welcome sight in any garden landscape.
Magnolias can be either deciduous or Evergreen. Large cup and saucer like blooms, with shiny foliage. They are not a preferred tree or shrub to be eaten by deer.
Although found in the colder Northern climates they are often thought of as a traditionally Southern species. As fond and proud of these trees as the South is they are the state flower of Louisiana and also Mississippi.
The trees found in North America are distant cousins to the Magnolia trees of Eastern China and the Himalayas
