Description
Tea Pot. Tea Party of Edenton North Carolina - that pretty little Teapot in a Shady Garden - just off to the side of the Historic Chowan County Courthouse Green.
Chowan County Courthouse stands in the background.
Edenton NC - rich in colonial history perched on the Albemarle sound on the Inner banks of North Carolina on the East Coast.
The 1905 Teapot of cast bronze statue or sculpture created to commemorate the gathering of the Ladies of Edenton who met to protest the British tax on tea on Oct. 25th 1774.
It weighs 250 lbs. , and is now a lovely weathered shade of verdigris green - its base is an upright facing Revolutionary war cannon.
This image of the teapot portrays the North side image with the Great Seal of NC figures on it of Liberty and Justice over the words of North Carolina .
On opposite side of the teapot has an inscription : On this spot stood the residence of Mrs. Elizabeth King in which Ladies of Edenton met on Oct. 25th 1774 to protest against the tax on tea.
Mixed media * Photography enhanced Painting effects. *
** Fine Art Logo * will not appear on the print. **
* * I have a Teapot image available with the opposite side of the Teapot with the inscription on it. It is called " Edenton Teapot Garden Party " *
