Pair this plant up with Silver Artemisia and The Purple Queen Margarita (ornamental sweet potato) for a striking ornamental display in landscaped gardens or container plantings.
You can bring it in and treat it as a house plant over the winter , replacing in the garden each spring - or by germinating new plants with soft wood cuttings.
Perfect plant to share cuttings with your neighbors and friends.
Persian shield should be groomed by " pinching back " the plant to avoid it from becoming too tall and "leggy".
At the end of the flowering season, the plant is now dormant .
Avoid the urge to pinch back to maintain tidiness as the plant should not be pinched again until spring.
